Survivor ~ Women Last to Stand

Well, if there is to be one woman left standing let it be Sabrina!

It's not often when I get a moment to do this, but... My girl is bold, beautiful and brave.  It's refreshing to have a Sistah we can believe in and stand behind.  With just a hint of Ghetto, she is polished, educated, fit and just easy to like.  She plays in a way that keeps the stereotypes at bay, and for that we salute.

And... I mean look at the woman!  She is stunning.  Who knew under all that dirty and twig filled nottyness, there was such a stricking woman.

Represent my Sistah, Mina! Hearts You.

SAG. A Beautiful thing.

Did you see it?  It was one of those rare and fleeting pieces of history when we as sistahz were represented in a moment of raw and genuine beauty.  Flawless talent transcended the 18th annual SAG awards last night, and ladies, you done us proud.

This was a night of honest and worthy recognition.  No talk of quota's needing to met.  Not big hoopla around all the "black nominee's".  Just matter of fact winning for roles that were well written, and clealy represented.

There is a certain amount of humiltiy and aspiration that aurates around both Miss Octavia and Miss Viola.  Confident in ability, they were gratious in acknowledgment.  To be recognized among their peers, it was an honour well deserved, and well received.

I applaud and am fiercly inspired by their winning.  They carry these nods with responsibility... not ego, teaching us that success is not just about showing up, but showing up day after day, time and time again. A virtue and humility that many on the red carpet could learn from.

With grace, may you both continue to be bold, beautiful and brave.

Much Love,
Miss A
